One of my all-time favorite things to do as a family in the summer is visiting all of the local ice cream shops and trying their different treats. I remember during one summer when I was a teenager, my best friend worked as a scooper at the local shop and occasionally I would visit two to three times a day for “complimentary cones”. I’ll be honest, while putting this guide together my mouth was watering and I couldn’t stop thinking about sprinkles and strawberry topping. My goal for this summer is to visit each and every business on this list. My four year-old told me he thinks this is “the best idea ever” and will be accompanying me on our sweet little ice cream tour of the North Poconos and Hazleton region.
