I am so excited to introduce myself to you. My name is Joey Lynn Walko, your new North Poconos/Hazleton Macaroni Kid Publisher. I love looking for cool new activities to try and awesome events to attend with my son. Now I get to share all of that information about family friendly fun with you here in the North Poconos region. I may use the words "we", "our", and "us" when writing my articles and that is because I think of us as one big happy community where everyone is included.
I'd like to tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania (Yay NEPA!) in the Back Mountain. I have lived in a few different cities in Luzerne County but I have always stayed local. My other half and I have been together for ten years and we are now raising our 4 year old son here in Mountain Top. I love baking and cooking plant-based recipes and spend most of my days in the kitchen because besides the fun stuff like cooking, those dirty dishes sure pile up fast.
